AMMA Field Campaigns

This site is designed as a page covering the period of the 2006 wet SOP (mid May to end of September 2006). It provides images and reports produced for AOC needs and for later scientific analysis of the wet SOPs like

  • a wide range of products for Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) (analysis, forecasts, evaluation and weather reports, ...)
  • Monitoring (specific diagnostics...)
  • Observations (satellites, status of platforms, quicklooks,...)
  • Operations (news, status of material and communications, briefing reports, IOP reports,...)

Individual sites:

SOP3: AMMA Center for Operations in DAKar (ACODAK)

ACODAK is the center for coordination of the third Specific Observing Period (SOP3) in Dakar (septembre 2006). ACODAK is hosted by Laboratoire de Physique de l'Atmosphère et de l'Océan Simeon Fongang (LPAOSF), Ecole Supérieure Polytechnique (ESP) de Dakar and Université Cheick Anta Diop (UCAD).

Besides the general site, several individual sites exist to follow the instrument deployment or other activities in the frame of the AMMA field campaigns:
